Hans van den Berg has extensive experience in international corporate management as well as in investment banking and private equity fund management. Hans is a partner in Venture Partners AG, a Swiss private equity firm which he co-founded in 1997. He has been engaged in fundraising, investor relations, fund structuring and fund management with a focus on technology companies and was involved in several M&A transactions. Previously he was a director in the family office of a well-known Swiss investor, responsible for a portfolio of private equity participations in Europe and the USA focused on sustainable investments. Hans is a partner in BT Biomass Technologies. Until 1993, Hans van den Berg was engaged for 20 years in senior management positions in ABB, a global engineering firm active in energy related infrastructure and industrial projects and products where he was responsible for business operations in Europe and the Asia-Pacific Region. He was also the company’s first local representative in China. During his career with ABB, he gained extensive experience in contract structuring, negotiations and project management, technology transfer issues and the establishment and management of business operations in emerging economies. Hans holds an MSc. degree of the Technical University of Delft/Netherlands and completed a corporate MBA programme. Donald McQuillen began his career in R&D in the chemical consumer product industry. He later switched to operational management roles of increasing responsibility within the chemical specialties industry at such international firms as Henkel and Dynamit Nobel. In 2002 he established his own international management consulting company and is a partner of BT Biomass Technologies focused on the bioenergy sector. With broad-based international experience in the three major world regions, Donald McQuillen has exercised leadership roles in enterprise management. Within the chemical specialties, biotechnology and consumer product firms where Donald McQuillen has worked, he gained a wide range of in-depth exposure to the chemical industry. Donald has a MS in biochemistry from New York University and an MBA from Zurich University. |
